Overview: Our Customer is leading financial Technology company in India. Customer develops software for Wireless Internet Mobile Dealing Desk solution for stock market. Initially customer offered software solution for Non –windows Mobile platform. But with growing use of Microsoft  Mobile phone worldwide decided to make solution available for Windows Mobile users. Customer had resource constraints for Windows Mobile development. Because of NetConsulate deep expertise on Windows CE and Windows Mobile technologies. Customer wanted to train their employees on the required technologies and assistance for software development. NetConsulate offered to train customer employees and put onsite resources at customer office software development. NetConsulate designed custom training program for Windows CE. Dot net compact framework and Windows Mobile technologies. Customer developers were given training at their premises by netconsulate.  After training , NetConsulate assisted customer developers for software development by putting technical lead at customer office.

 Background: Customer is software vendor whose product serves  stock market Wireless Internet Mobile Dealing on the move.It allows user  to complete dealing desk trading functionality on a mobile phone. This solution is the next generation medium to trade facilitating the users to view their positions and transactions through a fully secure channel from anywhere and anytime. Challenge: Resources to be trained and supposed be work on the development project were new to the windows Mobile and project timing. budget was very tight. So Custom training curriculum was designed and team put extra hours so as to meeting project deadlines.

 Solution:  Solution was developed using c# and.net compact framework, SQL server and visual studio 2003/visual studio 2005 as development tool. Presentation layer for application was developed using c#. Business layer developed was common for both pocket PC and Smart phone. Connectivity to database server was through GPRS connection.  Using visual studio and c#/.net compact framework to develop was quick and use of emulators during  development saved cost of hardware. Microsoft technology was useful as developers could reuse their desktop application skills for mobile development after training.  

Benefits: Microsoft Mobile phone is becoming popular among the users in the shares trading market. Software developed extended companies market segment to growing windows smart phone users. This solution was demonstrated at Microsoft Mobile and Embedded Developer Conference (MEDC) 2006 at Bangalore India.
